The Talk has been on hiatus for the last two weeks since Sharon “I am not Racist” Osbourne decided to go full Karen on her co-host Sheryl Underwood. The hiatus was meant to give CBS time to investigate allegations of racial insensitivity and a hostile work environment. Late on Friday, CBS reported that Sharon was let go and will not be returning when The Talk begins airing again on April 12th. According to the Daily Mail, Sharon will be suing CBS for wrongful termination because, you know, she’s the real victim here (internal scream and eye roll). Below are few more details about the story from Deadline:

Having completed a probe into the heated March 10 discussion about race on The Talk, which triggered the controversy, CBS just put out a statement saying that Osbourne made the decision to depart the show. The network also said The Talk, which was put on hiatus on March 12 in the immediate aftermath of Osbourne’s on-air outburst, will be back on April 12.

Here is the statement in full:

The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home. As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace. We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.

At the same time, we acknowledge the Network and Studio teams, as well as the showrunners, are accountable for what happened during that broadcast as it was clear the co-hosts were not properly prepared by the staff for a complex and sensitive discussion involving race.

During this week’s hiatus, we are coordinating workshops, listening sessions and training about equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for the hosts, producers and crew. Going forward, we are identifying plans to enhance the producing staff and producing procedures to better serve the hosts, the production and, ultimately, our viewers.

After 11 seasons, Osbourne was the last original Talk co-host to remain on the series. The Talk premiered in 2010 with the famed rock manager, The King of Queens star Leah Remini, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Holly Robinson Peete.

First of all, pahaha. Second, Sharon suing CBS is absolutely rich because I promise you CBS has been collecting receipts on the complaints against Sharon for being racially insensitive. In fact, Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete said that they were fired after Sharon said they were too “ghetto” for the show. I am sure that comment is just the tip of the iceberg for the f*ckery Karen has gotten away with over the last decade. I still hold CBS accountable for allowing Sharon’s behavior to persist. But better late than never.

When I was watching E!’s Nightly Pop on March 11, Nina Parker said that they found out what Sharon was saying when she was being bleeped out in the live version of the show. Sharon stated that, “I’m a f******* Jew, OK? How can I be racist about anybody?” Karen can sue CBS all she wants, she will lose. Now Sharon can return home to bitter island, perhaps to start a show on the new Murdoch channel with her friend Piers Morgan. Perhaps they can spend an hour each day b*tching about how that biracial American actress ruined their entitled little lives. As far as I am concerned, America has enough racists to deal with, we don’t need to import any.
